75% of the nearly 100 California State Registered Home Care Aides employed by Home Instead are Dementia Care Specialists through the Alzheimer’s Association’s evidence-based essentialALZ Certification Program. Our corporate mission is to be the foremost dementia care specialist in our area. This is essential, in that, at any given time, 80% of our clients, whose ages range from 65 to 100, have cognitive impairment. We are trained and prepared to care, in-home, for any and all clients whose conditions range from the beginning stages of dementia through the most advanced stages where hospice is required.

The owners of Alexandria Home Care, Jo Ann Grabicki and Peter Grabicki, have worked together with family caregivers by providing additional resources, hands-on training and care management to those whose loved ones are living with dementia. Through our Dementia Support Program (see under Cost of Care), we are committed to supporting families who are significantly impacted by the emotional and financial stress brought on by this terrible condition.
